10th of May 2006 BBSRC funded strategic research PhD studentship

Defining the conservation of brassinosteroid signalling between model and crop systems.


A PhD studentship is available that is aimed at elucidating the conservation and differences in BR signalling between tomato and Arabidopsis. To achieve this aim a molecular genetic approach will be adopted to transfer knowledge gained from a model system to a crop. Key areas of work will include plant transformation, DNA/RNA manipulation and analysis, confocal microscopy and the analysis of plant stature. The studentship is available immediately and will remain open until filled.
